Presentations and notes from lessons learnt dissemination events now available!
Over the past year and a half, we’ve been documenting our most important lessons that span over a decade working in the chars of north-west Bangladesh. The aim has been to share our experiences and best practices with the wider development community in the hope of helping shape the future of poverty programmes in Bangladesh and further afield.
Our final product is a series of twelve briefs (eleven lessons learnt and one overview brief) on topics that range from selecting participants and developing graduation criteria, to building good corporate culture and risk management strategies.
During the last two months, we hosted three dissemination events for relevant development professionals focusing on the lessons learnt and results. They related to CLP’s experience in building resilient livelihoods, developing milk and meat market systems, and developing M&E systems. We also made a presentation outlining our experience in measuring women’s empowerment and results to Dhaka’s Gender Working Group.
The experience of sharing our lessons learnt has been insightful and good practice. We’ve had positive feedback from those that attended. We hope that professionals working in similar programmes are able to make use of the knowledge we’ve accumulated.
A webpage has just been launched where our full presentations and supporting notes from these four events are accessible here.
The lessons learnt briefs are available here.
